The word is out: Pantone's Color of the Year for 2013 is Emerald. And the crowd goes wild!!! Just kidding. But, really. I love emerald. It's one of those hues, much like turquoise or coral, that can be found in their most vibrant state in nature, and translate so well to fashion and decor. The richness of emerald just feels decadent in any form. What do you think? Will you wear it? Cover a sofa in it?

I would most definitely make emerald sails for my tall ship like the ones on the Alexander von Humbolt. it also works brilliantly against that gray.
