Fall Round Up

Hunter Dixon Top and Skirt, Vince FUR INFINITY SCARF!!!!
It's that time of year, everyone is starting to get stocked up with their new fall merchandise. One of  my absolute perennial favorites, Van Jean in Columbia, has begun updating for the rapidly approaching cooler weather (I say that, but it'll probably be 105 next week). Van Jean literally carries just about all of my favorite brands, and they manage to always have the best picks from each collection. Here are some of my faves from their latest update. If only Columbia could inch a little closer to Raleigh, sigh.

Ribbons and Bows

ONE via shopbop.com

Bow blouses are every where I look right now. What I love about the bow/tie situation is that many of them can easily go from work to on the town, and they really don't require a whole lot of accessorizing.

Missoni For Target

As many of you have probably heard, Missoni is joining the ranks of designers that have collaborated with Target on a limited edition collection. The collection will be in stores for September 13 and will be there until October 22. The line has 400 pieces ranging from babies clothing to (my personal obsession) a bike. These are some of my favorites from the folks over at Fashionista.com.

Come On Irene

With the threat of Hurricane Irene looming before us, curling up in this gorgeous bedroom seems like the best Friday night possible. I am absolutely in love with this room, another Rachel Ashwell design, and have been using it for some recent decorating inspiration. I just want to crawl into that fluffy bed and watch a good movie.

Bangle Love!

A while back I posted about this adorable line of bangles made by a native North Carolinian, Elizabeth Yarborough. Her line, Yarbie Bangles, features a range of whimsical bracelets in a variety of sizes and fabrics. I went to her trunk show last night at Vermillion here in Raleigh and had the best time trying dozens of bangle combos with the girls. The bangles and the designer herself will be there today as well, if you're in town definitely stop by and pick up a bangle or two (or 10). Did I mention that they're also a great price?

I was obsessed with these, this is a preview of the new RINGS Elizabeth is adding to the line, they should be on the market by Christmas!!!

Prairie Luxury

I've been a fan of Rachel Ashwell's for a while now; for those that aren't familiar Rachel is the creator of the Shabby Chic lifestyle brands and has created an empire based around her brand of unassuming luxury. I love her style. While her taste can sometimes be a bit too girlie for me, there is something irresistible about her pieces (which range from her Target line to her high-end linens and furniture line).

When you see a room she has styled you immediately feel as though you could walk in and curl up with a good book and some hot chocolate (or wine depending on the book I guess). So imagine how excited I was when I recently learned that Rachel Ashwell has opened her very own bed & breakfast in a tiny little town in Texas!

The Prairie is a collection of cottages bought and renovated by Ashwell in an antiquing town called Round Top, which is about an hour and a half from Austin. Each dwelling has it's own personality and charm, and it's set in a bucolic 46 acres of Texas countryside; it is the perfect place to go and completely disconnect.

There is also a lounge and common area to catch a quick bite or cup of tea. If only she would add a spa, they'd have to kick me out to get me to leave. I can't wait to get down there and see it myself!

You can choose to hunker down in one of the cottages, or pick a room in the sweetly named Liliput Lodge.

Ad Infinitum

Missoni via Shopbop.com
Love this Missoni infinity scarf. I think their scarves are a fantastic fall staple: you get the Missoni look without the price (their scarves are in the $100-200 range), and they can add a pop to any outfit. Oh, and they'll keep your neck warm! If you're in Raleigh, Gena Chandler has an amazing selection~tons of colors and styles! Not to mention this one would look great with the red Citizens of Humanity pants I'm crazy about!

Seeing Red

For some reason I'm gravitating towards colorful bottoms these days. I really love the navy+red combo for fall. It's not something that I've typically paired together in the past during the fall. I love that it's sort of nautical/Americana, which makes me think of summer, but styled for the cooler months. I've seen great options for casual and work. These are a few of my faves.
