Charlotte Rampling

Source
I am feeling really Ramplingy. Charlotte Rampling was a fresh-face ingĂ©nue, sometimes scandalous, always beautiful. She has aged as gracefully as one could hope for, now cutting a striking, powerful figure. She is the boho hippie girl that can morph into glamorous vixen.

Finn

Finn Jewelry. Love it. While I love large sparkly objects to adorn one's hands/neck/earbobs, I really, really love simplicity. In many ways I think there is a lot (more) to be said for really simple and understated shows of affection/commitment. (For example an infinity knot.) Finn is a really striking yet understated line. Simply styled, beautifully made-with just enough bling. Anyhoo-take a little peeksie. Never too soon to start the Christmas list!

Playful

Spell & The Gypsy Collective Sundance Playsuit

I have been obsessing over this playsuit (their word not mine guys) from Spell & The Gypsy Collective. I totally missed out on the pre-order, but it is in stock now. It's also convertible: you can drop the side hem and the sleeves can roll up and button down. There are a few other print options, all of which I love. A great transition piece too-pair with booties or a stiletto for totally different looks to take you into Fall. (Clemson fans see below!)

A Chill

J Crew Toothpick Jean and Shawlsmith London Scarf

As I said on Instagram, what the eff cold weather??? Grrr. But, it gave me a chance to break out some pre-Fall gear. Love my new Shawlsmith London scarf, IT'S GIRAFFE. Yup. It's a giraffe skin pattern with a gorgeous warm ombre effect. I had a chance to preview their Fall line, and there. are. more. giraffes. to come. Check out the current collection here. I'm also super excited about these distressed toothpick jeans from J Crew. Their denim just keeps getting better. These are perfectly, lightly distressed, and the ankle length actually hits my ankle. (#Shortyproblems.) Get them here ON SALE!

You know how a deer freezes when it get scared? That's how I'm about to make you feel if you don't already have the information I'm about to share: Banana Republic x Issa

Are you ok?
I mean, I was skeptical, but then I realized that they are essentially using Issa's exact same shapes. It's not really dumbed down, it's just SO. MUCH. MORE. AFFORDABLE. I just ordered the kimono dress (my favorite classic Issa shape) and the wrap top, because, duh. Check out the range, they even have print scarves and clutches. Super exciting treat. Also: in other collab judging-check out the Phillip Lim for Target line here. I'd love to hear what y'all think.

Finery

Photo via Daughters of Simone
We all know that, second to a shiny new piece of bling, most girls are more excited about their wedding dress than all of the other details. (Obviously the love and joy part, but that's a given right?) Well let me introduce you to Finery, a bridal-almost lifestyle-boutique in Huntsville, Alabama. I have been style-stalking them from a distance since they opened almost a year ago. The gorgeous store has a bohemian, almost ethereal feel. Everything tends to glow. In addition to trunk shows (ahem, Daughters of Simone-see above), they carry a range of bridal designers such as Heidi Elenora, Lula Kate, Sarah Seven, and Allison Parris. They even offer event styling and can address your custom paper needs through their sister store W*ink.

{ What kind of bride are you? }

I'm so excited to share Finery with y'all, AND even more excited to tell you that, in honor of Finery's 1-year anniversary, we will be giving away one lucky girl's pick of either a set of beautiful lingerie or a Plum Pretty Sugar PJ set. Anyone who "Likes" either the Southern Arrondissement or Finery Facebook pages from now until September 12th will be entered to win your choice! So the question is: what kind of bride are you? Are you kicking it in PJs, or are you lounging in lingerie?

Ladies Who Launch

It's here it's here. Ramey Rhodes is official. There's no turning back it appears! I can't thank everyone enough for coming to see the launch of the Fall collection! Here are some shots of our stunning models in action (and out of commission). Their hair and makeup was done by two of my favorite people, Dawn and Debra of Glam Lounge. They do not mess around. Thanks also to the Phillips of The Wine Feed for a kickass space and wine. (And general awesomeness!) All of the jewelry is Elizabeth Cole from Fleur. Click here to read about it-Elizabeth Cole is my new thing. All day.

And finally, we are giving away a $100 credit for Ramey Rhodes which you can use on the website (next month) or at any trunk show (TBA). "Like" Ramey Rhodes on Facebook OR if you've already done that, "Share" the page and send us a message to let us know! We will pick a winner on Sunday! ANNNND!!!! Stay tuned for another insane giveaway coming up next week! Woot. Happy weekend to all!

Elizabeth Cole

We used Elizabeth Cole pieces to finish off our looks last night for the debut of Ramey Rhodes. To me they have the glamour and detail of costume jewelry from the 1950s and 60s with a decidedly modern look. All of the pieces we used are shown here and are available at Fleur in Raleigh. These are serious statement pieces that you'll turn to over and over. 100% my current favorite jewelry line.

Not Over It

Knot Sisters "Oliver" overalls
I'm doing it guys. I am. I recognize this could be a regrettable moment, but, they just look really comfortable. I mean, on a Saturday to Starbucks? Or...teehee, the farmer's market???  Seriously. Make all the Thomas the Tank jokes you want. (That is what it's called right moms?) These Knot Sisters overalls are $80. At that point I feel good about my risk analysis. If it works out I'll start an overalls revolution! Anyone else with me? Other overalls I find appealing here, here, here, and here
