Rachel Zoe Fall '11 |
I so love the idea of an exquisitely tailored suit for a woman; it can be both sophisticated and sexy. Over the past few years I have been absolutely enamored with women's tuxedos. I remember a DVF version a few seasons ago, done in both black and cream versions, that probably had to go into witness protection due to all of the stalking of it I did. This coming Fall is giving me more to obsess over. I love the very literal, almost retro version that Tibi sent down the runway. White dinner jacket, feminine ruffled blouse, tailored cropped trouser-a fun version that can be broken down or worn together.

Tibi Fall '11 |
But I must tell you, I absolutely blacked out at my computer when I saw the version from Rachel Zoe's new collection that is previewing on Neiman Marcus' website right now. It is stunning. All white, sexy, feminine tailoring. Gorgeous. Each piece is spectacular. A women's tuxedo is certainly not a look that everyone could-or would-wear, but I think everyone could be served well by a well-tailored suiting look.
