Link Love

Some odds and ends for your enjoyment!

1. The Nearby! A free shopping app that directs you to the best shopping wherever you are! You can follow stores you already love, and find new (good) shops and designers when you're in a new town. Be sure to follow Ramey Rhodes when you do!

2. I could write a dissertation on why Derek could possibly be the greatest show in the history of television. (Like, I might.) While you may think you know what to expect from a Ricky Gervais show-you don't. I can't think of anything I have seen with a more poignant message. It is truly a work of art. If you need a palate cleanser from Breaking Bad, this is is. I cannot overstate how much you should watch this show.

3. I'm a weirdo who has developed a fear of drinking out of plastic (but somehow not styrofoam?), and am super pumped about the new Soma water filtration system, which is all-natural with the added benefit of a purdy glass serving carafe. Tossing the Brita! OH! And they deliver your filters so you never forget to change them!

4. Wonder Woman, as done by Lauren Moffatt. A recent pickup from Fleur

5. I really, really love the tiny tassel details from jewelry line Shashi!

6. The Rochas SS '14 collection. Love.

7. Um. Jay Z collaborated with Barney's for a holiday collection. WHICH INCLUDES A COLLAB WITH HOORSENBUHS!!!

8. Quinoa burgler? I mean, it has cheese on it.

9. I'm sure you've all seen Oscar PRGirls Erika Bearman's Miles Redd decorated house all up on Pinterest. Here's the Elle Decor article. You hate her more now don't you?

Blushing

3.1 Phillip Lim mini Pashli from Moda Operandi

Love.
I eye shanked a girl at Target Monday night for snatching the yellow Phillip Lim for Target version of the mini Pashli right out from under me. She then proceeded to call 3 friends to see if anyone wanted it and was using it to barter. I unfolded and refolded the same shirt 3 times waiting to see if she was going to abandon it. She didn't. I hate her. Above is the spring version of the mini Pashli from the 3.1 line. It is glorious. It is blush. And if you pre-order it from Moda Operandi, you only have to pay half now. And you won't have to pay again until March-ish. Be sure to take a gander at the beautiful full-size colors too.

Spots And Dots

Brooklyn Blonde
First of all, I love navy. It's such a wonderful alternative to black. Navy is the new black? I really wish I could claim that navy hat and polka dotted dress. (Going to try this tan hat instead.) Secondly, for some odd reason I've really liked a bunch of spotty stuff lately; I'm usually not an animal print person, but there I a right way and a wrong way to do it I suppose. Por ejemplo this amazing Clare Vivier spotted clutch or the contrast of a leopard coat against all black and CĂ©line.

The Loupe

Lele Sadoughi Papyrus Earrings Shop The Loupe

I'm in love with these earrings from The Loupe, a highly-curated online jewelry shop (that apparently can read my mind). While owner Maria Munoz stocks some of my favorites like Elizabeth Cole, CC Skye, and Loren Hope, she has some less familiar lines that are amazing as well. The earrings above are Lele Sadoughi, who I am now obsessed with. I seriously can't get them out of my head. Below are a few of my other faves by Elizabeth Cole, her stuff has juuuuust the right amount of edge for me. Shop The Loupe!

NYFW S|S '14

NYFW S|S '14

Here are some of my favorite casualish looks coming out of the Spring presentations thus far! I reeeeeallly like all of the mixing of pattern, pattern on pattern, and detailed white. Yay! I also really, really want to show you guys more of the footwear from J Crew which was a collaboration with designer Sophia Webster and is AMAZING. I haven't been able to find detail shots yet, but I'm looking!
The looks above (clockwise):
1 & 2. Alice + Olivia | 3-5. Veronica Beard | 6-10. J Crew

Get in my closet all of you. Also, I'm in love with the "light" fuschia lipstick on the J Crew models. I didn't know that could be a color. If anyone knows where to get that shade, holler.

Pictures via The Cut. The Cut is a part of New York Magazine and is my absolute favorite to stalk all of the shows. It's a gorgeous site, and is fashion overload. Check it.

Fully

Tibi Simona Jacquard Peplum Top And Full Skirt Green Tibi Fall 13 | Southern Arrondissement
Tibi Simona Jacquard Peplum Top and Simona Jacquard Full Skirt
I know we are all pretty familiar with this look at this point, but I think that means everyone should be comfortable with a full skirt at this point. If you've been hesitant, I say now is the time to jump in. I love this Tibi look for a classic and beautiful holiday look, but I absolutely endorse wearing the skirt with a t-shirt (and the top with jeans or leather pants for that matter). The full skirt and the peplum top are still excellent wardrobe investments, and even if they are waning over the next few seasons, you'll pull them out in a few years and they will still be beautiful.
*I am also willing to endorse the skirt with a very tailored crop top under these conditions:
1. It is tailored and only shows 1/2"-1" of skin
2. You are very thin (Taking myself out of the running. Whomp.)

4 Ways For Fall

Inspiration: Sincerely Jules. I love this swing dress and the vibrant poppy color. Piperlime has a great, inexpensive Fall version from Free People. It's got a long sleeve and a slightly more muted color-perfect for transitioning to cooler weather. I've paired it below with 4 different transition/Fall shoe looks. Loeffler Randall's Fall collection is out of control. (As usual, I suppose.)

Pink + Gold

Just some purdy pink and gold to make your Tuesday (Monday?) brighter. Side note: the J Crew Isabel Cashmere sweater is on my must-have list for Fall. It's slightly slouchy shape makes it super versatile. The pink is ON SALE as well as the heather gray (duh), and they've got black for Fall which is a necessity.
