I've asked some friends to bear with me on the crop tops. I'm not suggesting we all go out and show off our belly button rings (please, if that's something you still have, take a moment to step away, remove, and place in trash). No, this trend is a bit more sophisticated. These tops are made to be paired with a high-waisted skirt, pants or shirt; in most cases just revealing a glimpse of skin. If you have the tummy for it, I say give it a try. I picture the Missoni top with a flowy high-waisted maxi skirt-would be such a fun summer beach look. Or take the opposite tack and follow the Miu Miu look with dark colorblocking; a more tailored look. Again, be thoughtful about putting together this look, more is more in this case, you've got to balance it out!
