Well, it's a bag of my dreams. The Louis Vuitton Palermo GM is one of my all-time favorite bags. I've never wavered in my love. I am a BIG bag person, not as in "I'm obsessed with bags" (even though I am), as in "I like bags big in size". I like to be able to feel like I could put a spare outfit in my handbag, you know, just in case. This bag is borderline suitcase size. I have loved it since a dear friend got it shortly after college. She is a bag person (obsession-wise), and this is one of my faves in her extensive collection. Let me tell you what I love about this bag: it's big, it's classic (whether you're a logo person or not, there is something classic about the LV monogram and it's place in history), it's both a shoulder and cross-body style, and it slouches just right. I hesitate to spend a ton of money on shoes and bags, because I inevitably either step in a grate or spill red wine, but this one is worth the investment. I read an article in Vogue once about breaking the cost of a bag down into a "per day" payment. So let's just say I carried this bag full time 100 days per year over the next 5 years, this would break down to $3.22 a day. That's less than I spend on Starbucks in one trip. Not to mention it will retain its value pretty much forever barring a catastrophic incident. So I'm going to need someone to explain to me how I haven't jumped on this amazing bargain already?
