A Nest Of Gray

I (as you may have noticed) LOVE grays. It is both chic and warm, masculine and feminine. It's all things. All. Of. The. Things. This room from The Nester makes me want to crawl into bed and spend days reading and snuggling. (An aside: she even built the bed herself.) Take note of all of the subtle texture, from the layered rugs to two different box patterns of duvets. The teensy touches of pink are everything.

You should all know how much I love penguins at this point. (Ha point-needlepoint!) These adorable tech cases are from, believe it or not, Lands End. I am crazy about them. The most dangerous event of the year is happening at Vermillion right now. The Carole Tanenbaum vintage collection is in-store and blinding. The gorgeous collars are always my favorites, but there is so much to see (although it's selling fast). The collection is in town until Friday-get these on your wish list!

Forget About Decking The Halls

Deck yourselves. The most blinged out time of the year is upon us! Vermillion is hosting its Carole Tanenbaum trunk show in-store this week (from Wednesday to Friday), with dozens of expertly curated, insanely gorgeous vintage pieces. These are the pieces that reflect superior style and craftsmanship; you will have them foreva. Foreva-eva.

Soiree Fleur

The ladies of Fleur hosted an amazing five-course, wine-paired dinner created and prepared by gastro-gangsters Inez and Stephen Ribustello of On The Square in Tarboro. I was pretty euphoric after the first course of lobster and avocado salad. (As in, eating off of other people's plates.) The meal finished with a carrot cake tower (see below), all paired with the most amazing wines, including some rosè bubbles. Gold pear placecard holders sat  on Herend chargers, with tables full of votives. The highlight was designer Lindsey Carter of Troubadour presenting a sneak peek of her Spring '13 line. Also visiting was Raegan Morgan of Crescala Showroom, who brought with her looks from Nha Khanh, Beckley By Melissa, Troubadour (of course), and others. Post-dinner was chaos. Shopping pandemonium.

Some lovely goodies from Charlotte's today. I was in love with these earrings by Sylvia Benson; the rose and black are fab and there is an insane bone option too. I was also digging these beaded clutches, the bottom two are a gorgeous green ikat and a black and cream houndstooth.
