Perfect Pout

I was never really into makeup throughout high school or college; my interest has grown over the year since as a matter of necessity really, I suppose. While I don't wear a whole lot of "face" makeup, I love a good eyeshadow and eyeliner, and now more importantly a good concealer. I also kind of got into "products", I am becoming more and more curious about the various creams and serums and facials and peels that offer to make my skin brighter and tighter. I've realized that they're kind of on to something. While I think Sephora is a good concept, it seems cluttered and loud to me; if I'm going to browse, test, and buy these important (and often somewhat pricey) elixirs of youth I'd at least like to feel the luxury in my surroundings.

Pout, located on Devine Street in Columbia, serves up some of the most sought-after lines in skincare and beauty in a calm, sleek boutique-style atmosphere. Ahh...So nice. It is also a sister store to the fabulous Van Jean, just a few doors down Devine, serving up the best fashion in Columbia; both are the brain children of style maven (Duchess of Devine) Melissa Blanchard.

Pout has developed into a one-stop shop for skin care and beauty. In addition to their beauty products they are now have Skin Studio at Pout; here they feature a series of products using some of their skincare lines-and each comes with a complimentary makeup application! For those of you visiting town, this is a great option if you're there for a special
event.

Now for some of the lines they carry: NARS (my all-time favorite makeup line), Chantecaille, Stila, Tarte, Bond No 9, Fresh, Tan Towel, Eberjey, Mario Badescu, Molton Brown, Art of Shaving, PCA Skin, and more. They have expert makeup artists and estheticians, and they have lots of fun in-store events. Definitely a worth-while stop on a shopping trip, or to refresh your beauty routine.
