Over the Moon

I must tell you, I know some of ya'll may find this chintzy or Sex and the City from '01, but one of my favorite Christmas gifts this year was a silver nameplate necklace of my last name (first name's long and I tend to go by my last). I love it. I just think it's fun, and somehow kinda subtle. I've recently seen a new update on this trend that I also find adorable; same principle, but in black acrylic. I've seen a few styles in the acrylic, including the full monogram style, but I "love" this one from North Carolina designer Kelly Shatat of Apex-based Moon and Lola.

It's sweet without the sap, no? I also think it'd be cute layered with my existing silver necklace. The "love" necklace can be customized (AKA you can make it say whatever you want) and you can get it on your choice of gold of silver chain. Moon and Lola has gained national attention over the past few years, Kelly's pieces have been featured in the pages of InStyle, People, Elle Accessories, Marie Claire, Lucky, and more. Her collection is fun and feminine, with just a little bit of funkiness thrown in. Most of the Moon and Lola collection can go from day to night, and are very reasonably priced-a lot of bang for the buck.
The Caterina Earring, love the pop of color with the gold detail.

The Monaco, again, these are perfect to dress an outfit up or down.
Cipriani Necklace with 2 ways to style.
The Auberge. Turquiose is ALWAYS a favorite of mine.

Moon and Lola can be found at Charlotte's in Raleigh, they always have the best selection of her pieces. Check Charlotte's on Facebook for updates on Moon and Lola and their other fabulous goodies.

Funky chain Anassa bracelet. Love.
