As many of you in this area know, we are super lucky to have some extremely talented home decor tastemakers in close proximity-whether you are looking for deco, Euro, retro, classic, contemporary-I could go on, but my point is we have some fantastic resources for furniture and home furnishings. But, that does not stop one from e-stalking and admiring. My great friend L turned me on to Palm Beach Regency, in guess where? Florida! Their website is a pleasure to surf through. Let me pinpoint the style: if you are looking for a ceramic elephant stool, bamboo anything, and fabulous Hollywood/Regency style chairs, you want to go there. Y'all they have black panther lamps. Lamps that are black panthers. The animals. I can only imagine. (I have dreams about the pendant lights pictured above-they're sold. Whomp.) Many of their pieces are not refinished or "done", but have gorgeous bones and are ready for what could be. I believe that many of us are laquer-holics, and will see endless potential and opportunity. They've just got some gorgeous, and really unique pieces if this is your style. Thought it best if I shared with you! And please, if you need a list of fabulous furniture folks in the North Carolina area, I am happy to help!

Sand(als) Between Your Toes
Love the orange, yes, the beer boxes are part of their display
I am so excited about this discovery-in all honesty, made by my mother and her friends-in one of my favorite places, Key West. This past week while I was sitting here, cold and pale, my parents were sipping frozen drinks poolside in balmy Key West. BUT, at least my mother had the motivation to get out and do some shopping, and stumbled upon Kino Sandals. Kino's are an almost 50 year old family business, founded by Cuban immigrants who had left behind a shoe-making business. All of the sandals are handmade, in house at their shop on Fitzpatrick Street. They're basic but so comfortable, and come tons of colors and styles. I got tan, but after much debate am having them send me the orange as well. And get this, they're $13. If you can't make it to Key West, you can also purchase them online. Although, it seems like a trip to Key West would be more appropriate.

Piggy Potters!
I love these little Piggy Potters from the adorable Etsy shop Fruitflypie out of Punta Gorda, FL. They're crafted from a vintage '60s mold. Don't they just make you smile?

I found this amazing chevron wallpaper in this month's House Beautiful. The blues just melt into each other. It's just what I've been looking for!

Karl by Karl Donoghue Shearling Trimmed Jacket
Un. Believable. Just gorgeous. And "on sale" at theoutnet.com. (Which if you don't know is Net-A-Porter's "outlet" website). (All of the "" are to prepare you for the "sale" prices).

Fendi's 2Bag, exclusively at Bergorf
The colors of this 2Bag from Fendi make it hard to wait for Spring. This bag was the winner of a contest held by Bergdorf Goodman and Fendi to design styles of the bag for Resort to be sold exclusively at the store. Obsessed.

Twelfth St by Cynthia Vincent colorblock dress
I love the colors and the colorblocking of this Twelfth St maxi dress. Again, making me look forward to Spring. From Shopbop, of course.

Alice + Olivia bodysuit
I know some people may be puzzled by them, but I actually love bodysuits. They really resolve the problem of shirts becoming un-tucked, or not laying properly. This Alice + Olivia number is also backless, which is amazing. (I am not promoting the shorts/bodysuit combo, I don't know about you, but I don't look like her and have probably (SADS) aged out of this deal.)

Haute Hippie wrap dress
Haute Hippie did this style in a gorgeous cream and tomato combo last year, and it's back in this lovely turquoise version for '12. Comfy and stylish, it can be dressed up or down. Find it on Singer22, which is one of my fave shopping sites out of NY. They've got and amazing mix-and get a lot of things I can't find anywhere else. EXAMPLE: Bec & Bridge out of Australia-they've got it, and it was one of 2 places that had the Dahlia blouse I was freaking out over (it's the one the girl with the hat is wearing). The blouse is amazing and their customer service was amazing!!!

The Levi Dress. Will reside in my closet.
I am absolutely LOVING watching the Rae Francis line evolve! Check out this peek of their Summer line; the gorgeous campaign was shot in Palm Beach (one of the designer's home town). These are my faves, and I must say, I'm pretty obsessed. See more looks on their Facebook page, and find out where to buy! Be sure to check out their kick-ass pop up shop Wanderers which they most recently opened in Palm Beach.

Pampered Puppies
I do not necessarily consider my dogs to be sophisticated (well, one is-the other one is very pretty, but not so much an intellectual), but these dog beds are certainly for the discerning dog. These beds by NEST in Gainsville, Florida are not only decor-friendly, but are eco-friendly as well. The beds are hand crafted (in the US, which I love) from locally sourced sustainable hardwoods. That's a business model I can totally get behind. The cushions are filled with a hypo-allergenic fiberfill made from recycled soda bottles, and are coated with an EPA-approved fabric protector to keep germs out! They're pricey, from about $490-$750, and they also have cushion beds starting at $135. But you're getting a great looking, custom, socially responsible product for your best friend!!! The cushions come in a variety of great looking prints (see below), and you can even submit your own fabric to coordinate with your decor. (If I hadn't already been told I would be committed if I get another dog, I'd ask them to throw the little guy pictured above in with my order.) You can shop NEST's beds on Taigan.

Hippie Chick
Rae Francis is giving us a little sneak peak into their Spring '12 lookbook. I'm crazy about their retro-boho stylings for their upcoming spring collection. Now, while I know that I am too old and too fat to wear crop tops, I love these and I will totally wear them with a super high-waist jean or layered with a light cami. The romper is amazing; it will be perfect with sandals or with a chunky necklace and heels for going out. I can't wait for these looks to hit stores. On a side note, Ariel and Christina, the ladies of Rae Francis are opening up a pop-up style store called Wanderers, which will soon open in Palm Beach.
