All That Glitters

What's one of my favorite things? Vintage costume jewelry! Yayyyy! Vermillion in Raleigh is having their Spring trunk show this week starting on Wednesday (May 9th) and running through Saturday. I can't tell you how overwhelming the trunk show is. There are so many sparkly, colorful baubles-I start to get nervous. But they also have some more deco-disco-sleek pieces too, that are to die for, I just love how the sparkly stuff tickles my senses like champagne bubbles. I am obviously on a bit of a tangerine kick, and totally checking out this Polyvore thing which I am completely new to. But it's a great outlet to really put together your outfits. It's like an on-line closet organizer. What better way to plan your looks than seeing them collaged together? On a model. I'm inspired to plan looks that can be transitional, and seem thoughtless (read: I want to look like I haven't spent the last 3 weeks thinking about this outfit, but I really have, so I hope you like it?). A few notes, Missoni bikini's are made in heaven, Ray Bans are the only aviator sunglasses you'll ever need, Balenciaga's woven bags are the jam, wear a hat it's good for you, and JORTS. That is all.

I nearly ran into a lightpost looking at this dress on my phone this morning (walking-don't worry) from my daily trip to Starbucks (holler at my North Hills baristas). Colorblocking + neons is a super fun trend, and can look so chic when done right. The cut of this dress is perfect for summer-and while I've styled it for something a bit more formal, throw this puppy on with some strappy flat sandals and a cross-body bag and you could totally go casual with it.
